Sepcotech A/S

SEMA is an autonomous, recoverable acoustic training target dedicated to Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and torpedo-firing exercises. It's 2,130 mm long, 150 mm in diameter, weighs 33 kg, and is rated to 300 m depth, with onboard INS, GPS, DVL, and a pressure sensor for navigation. It can be launched from surface ships, submarines, helicopters, ASW aircraft, or a RHIB, with routes plotted via waypoints or configurable segments. SEMA offers a wide range of acoustic training modes — passive, active, and combined — including an acoustic echo-repeater (1–33 kHz), five active sonar frequency bands, two active homing-torpedo bands, narrowband and broadband channels, and an encrypted acoustic data recorder. It's easy to recover and can be reconfigured with a spare battery in about an hour. SEMA is already in service with multiple navies, including a multi-million-euro order for seven units from the Netherlands (shared with Belgium).
