112 years in Dalarna and a seven-year framework agreement with FMV

On 28 April 2026, FMV, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, awarded Sacci Pro a seven-year framework agreement covering backpacks, duffel bags, and other carrying equipment for the Swedish Armed Forces. The agreement is shared with six other Nordic suppliers and includes ongoing development and adaptation of the products as the forces' needs evolve. For the Haglöf family it is continuity: the company has supplied the Swedish Armed Forces since the 1930s, and today the fourth generation runs it.

The story starts in 1914, when Wiktor Haglöf began sewing backpacks for forestry workers in Torsång, in the Dalarna region, under the name Haglöfs. His sons Rolf and Hans took over in 1956, and in 1987 Hans reacquired the production unit in Borlänge to supply the military, the healthcare sector, and industry. The company took the name Sacci in 1992. In 2021, Wiktor's great-granddaughters, sisters Julia and Felicia Haglöf, assumed leadership, and in February 2026 the professional business was carved out as Sacci Pro under Sacci Group.

In the 1990s, Sacci developed the 110-litre FJS backpack together with the Swedish Army's paratrooper school. Built to withstand the extremely tough use of paratroopers, it quickly became a classic within the Swedish Armed Forces. Today, Sacci Pro is an NSPA-approved supplier to NATO and is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

The newest range is built for medics. In February 2026, Sacci Pro launched its largest product innovation to date: the RAVIN backpacks in 12, 30, and 50 litres, the 6-litre MYRRAND hip pack, and the 290-gram TUNDRA IFAK. RAVIN is sized for treating multiple casualties in the field, and the 12-litre pack attaches directly to the 30- and 50-litre packs. MYRRAND sits on the waist, rides cross-body, or mounts on the larger packs as a detachable module. The range runs to nine products, including two hard cases and a lightweight stretcher.

Fabric, buckles, and YKK zippers are IRR-treated, also referred to in the industry as NIR compliant. The treatment controls the material's signature in the near-infrared band night vision works in, so the equipment does not stand out against its surroundings. The outer fabric is UV-resistant Cordura in 700D and 500D with DWR and PU coatings. The Herma buckles are flame retardant. The PALS/MOLLE grid is laser-cut to keep weight down, and the zippers are non-locking for fast access. The RAVIN 12-litre weighs 1,550 grams, MYRRAND 870 grams.

TacDane distributes Sacci Pro in Denmark, and the range is available from summer 2026. RAVIN, MYRRAND and TUNDRA are on display at stand U 2324, together with the rest of the range. Take them down, and open them up.
