The smoke grenade is comprised of an aluminum body stoppered with a rubber cap. The grenade is made up of a container containing a mix for producing a primary cloud and pellets that produce a secondary screen after initiation. Both the container and the pellets are ejected from the casing using a propellant charge, which is initiated by an electric primer.
