Center for Functional Materials transforms advanced materials into intelligent solutions, creating new opportunities for the healthcare sector, industry, and the energy sector, as well as defence and space - from concept to scalable solution and pilot production.

We offer, among other things: smart textiles and wearables, healthcare technology (biosensors, diagnostic materials), advanced materials characterisation and testing of materials and components (including imaging, and elemental analysis), surface treatment and coating development, development and testing of energy materials and battery recycling, as well as Power-to-X and fuel cells. We help customers increase product value, achieve fast and reliable product development, ensure market access and compliance, and accelerate innovation from concept to pilot production.
