TerraSigma-X PIC engine
arrow_backTo the overviewThe heart of Phanofi's technology is the photonic integrated circuit (PIC) engine and its high-speed electronics co-packaged into a single device, ready to be built into a pluggable. The PIC engine comes in two version the Axiom and TerraSigma-X. Both engines carries Phanofi's CoDi architecture, which detects phase and polarization passively in the optical domain rather than in a coherent DSP, so the engine delivers four times the throughput per wavelength of an intensity-only design and 25 to 30% less power per link, while still being driven by a standard PAM4 DSP on the host board. Axiom runs at 400G in 8 W, TerraSigma-X at 800G/1.6T in 13/22 W. Both are laid out to current electrical and packaging standards, so they drop into existing module designs without changes to the host. Both engines are designed for OEMs and system builders who package their own modules.
