In compliance with the emergency response requirements of the IMO Polar Code, Miko Marine has developed an emergency response kit, designed to keep vessels afloat in the event of hull puncture. The Miko Polar Kit thereby strengthens a ship’s self-reliance in the polar regions.
To stop water ingress the patented and DNV qualified Miko Magnetic Plaster® is used in combination with the aramid fiber FlexiShape Miko Plaster® to create a strong seal against the hull. The installation tools included in the kit enable deployment entirely without the need for divers.
