The HP 8151 RE is a portable, reactive manpack jammer which has been developed especially for protecting smaller units from threats by drones (UAS) and remotely controlled improvised explosive devices (RC-IEDs).
Thanks to most modern FPGA based Software Defined Radio Technology (SDR), the system is able to detect and interfere frequencies automatically and in real time as soon as a threat has been identified. Activation can be started with the jammer carried on the back or remotely. Its GPS time synchronization makes this device an ideal system to be used for NATO operations. The optional programming software enables the device to be monitored and adjusted at any time, the HP SPECTRUM SCAN software delivering detailed frequency analyses.
