The OptoPro ready-to-use fiber optic drum is a fiber-guided data link for UAV / FPV systems, where the single most critical factor is how the fiber pays out at high speed. This is where the large majority of field failures originate - tangling, snagging, sudden tension spikes and fiber breaks during release. The drum is built around a precision winding and controlled-release adhesive process engineered specifically to eliminate these failure modes: the fiber unspools smoothly and layer-by-layer, without tangling, for the full length of the mission.
The resulting link delivers extremely low transmission loss and excellent bending resistance, is completely immune to electromagnetic interference and jamming, and stays compact and weight-optimised for airborne, high-altitude and underwater use.
