AirPlate is a Danish drone technology company that develops sensor-based solutions for drone detection. The company was founded about three and a half years ago as a spinout from the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) by the two robotics engineers August Mader and Troels Andreasen. Today, the company employs 12 people.
The core of the business is the AirDetect system, which makes it possible to detect and detect commercial drones, and which is particularly used within critical infrastructure.
The solution is already in operation at a number of reference locations, such as the Port of Aarhus.
AirPlate has built a position in the market that spans the public sector, the defense sector and critical infrastructure. This is reflected in the customer base, where around 65% of revenue comes from government customers.
