High Eye

High Eye is a Dutch developer and manufacturer of advanced unmanned helicopter systems for defence, security and critical-service operations. Based in Dordrecht, the company designs, produces and supports the Airboxer, a fuel-powered VTOL unmanned aircraft built for long-endurance missions in demanding environments.

The Airboxer combines the flexibility of a helicopter with the endurance and payload capacity required for professional operations. It can take off and land vertically from confined areas, ships and remote locations, while remaining airborne for more than four hours in its standard configuration and over five hours with extended-range fuel tanks.

With a maximum take-off weight of approximately 34 kg, the Airboxer can carry a broad range of payloads, including EO/IR cameras, LiDAR, magnetometers, AIS, radar and other mission-specific sensors. Its modular design allows the system to be adapted for missions such as maritime surveillance, border security, search and rescue, infrastructure inspection, environmental monitoring and intelligence gathering.

The platform is designed for autonomous and manually controlled operations, including automated take-off and landing on moving vessels. It features a rugged ground control station, secure data links and an autopilot with anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capabilities.

High Eye supports customers throughout the full operational lifecycle, from payload integration and training to maintenance, documentation and mission preparation. The Airboxer is operated under High Eye’s EASA LUC framework at SAIL II, with further development aimed at more complex operational environments.
