MITS INDUSTRIES

AWLS is an autonomous system of 10 acoustic sensors placed along the demarcation line (5 to 20 km or 3 to 12 miles) that passively detects and calculates the coordinates of artillery and mortar firing positions. The sensors are located at a distance of 0.5 to 3 km (0.3 to 2 miles) from each other and are equipped with mission specific communication for data exchange with the command post.

After detecting a shot, each station transmits the time, direction, and other information to the command post to calculate the coordinates of the firing position and further transmission of the information to national battlefield management or fire control systems (Estonia: Tooru, Ukraine: Delta, Kropyva).

Vidar Systems is an intelligent acoustic technology startup, which develops and operates AI-powered autonomous sensory systems to help defence forces gain full acoustic situational awareness, enabling early warning and strengthening target acquisition capabilities.
